Wedding
Frequently Asked Questions:
Presented here are a few of the Frequently Asked
Questions we receive. Each question below is a link to the answer.
Will
you stay out of the way, I don’t like when the videographer is too
pushy?
Every videographer claims to be invisible,
discreet, or part of the scenery. Any videographer that states
they will never be in the way is unintentionally misleading a
client. By nature of what we do there are times we need to be closer,
or are required to move to avoid obscured shots; however, if this occurs
we remain as inconspicuous as possible.
To illustrate our point, consider a photographer.
The photographer stands in front of you while you cut your cake, your
videographer would be there too.
We will be direct and up front with you during our
interview process to understand the aspects of your wedding you want
recorded and remain as invisible as possible to you and your guests.
So
how is Spastic Owl different than other videographers?
We believe to best serve are clients we must know
are clients beyond a name, date, and phone number. Spastic Owl takes
the time to discuss the wedding day with couples to completely
understand what the couple wants. We interview the couple and visit the
sites where the events will take place making sure your wedding is how
YOU want it.
Television and movies always devote time to the
pre-production to guarantee the quality of a production itself.
Spastic Owl treats your wedding no differently. We make the time
to understand your wedding, the nuances and the details to make your
wedding day a great video production.
What
are your prices and options?
Although we can recommend what other couples have
asked in the past, we never force a client to choose a pre-determined
package that may include an aspect the couple does not want. We work
with you to determine what is best for your wedding. We combine our
guidance, skills, and experiences with your wishes so:
You determine how much the of the pre-wedding
events such as the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, family parties,
engagement parties are included…
You determine how much of the wedding day
itself is recorded from the bride and groom getting ready, the
ceremony, the specifics of the reception, and more…
You can have input on the feel of your edited
production. You may want full-length documentary style, a compacted
highlight reel, both, or even more. The music, the style, the
theme, is all constructed from our interview with you.
So,
we can do anything we want?
This is the obvious question that comes up when we
describe our interview and open production style. Unfortunately every
production has its limitations that are imposed by the location of the
ceremony, the rules of the reception place, and physical
impossibilities.
What we promise is that anything you can think of,
we will explain if we can or can’t do it. We won’t promise something we
can’t do. You are our client. Our job is to make you happy. We only
succeed if the production is what you wanted.
I
don’t know what I want, so what do I do?
You do not need to act as a director nor
producer. We can make suggestions and share with you what other clients
have thought of for their weddings.
Our skills, experience, knowledge and guidance are
combined with your wishes to bring you the memories of your wedding day
they way you have always envisioned them.
